« on: August 27, 2008, 07:21:58 pm »
I Have a new van, so i want thing doing better now, been thinking , some people have two reels.. one bolted one loose...

does anyone have theirs bolted down, but like on a quick release , so can be usedout of the van,?

am looking around to find a way to do it but i wondered if anyone  does this and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

You could always bungie it in the van and then take em off when you want to use it outside the van.

i was thinking of a quick release clamp, you know for them jobs where you wish it was outside the van.

I use hoselock fittings like the ones on ionic systems,it clips into the hosereel as you will probobly know.If the hose from DI to hosereel is long enough you can unclip the static reel and re connect to the free standing one,get it.

I use the wall mounts that come with the hozereels. Use a metal reel though 'cos my hozelock reels fell apart all the time.

Use a couple of  22mm copper pipe clips, clip your reel in and unclip when needed

Give me chance Jeff, I have it all in place,  I have to pop up my mates tomorrow to get a piece of steel sheet cut, I'm not doing that with a hacksaw or you'll never see it Lol
I recon friday night, saturday at the latest and the cage and swivel will be finished, I've been doing it in-between work and family.
