I was recently asked to do the same for someone who was setting up in my area,I declined "cheeky b------d" I thought .Would you have done the same if he was setting up on your doorstep?

i would help someone on my doorstep.
i'd  tell them plenty of water on those belgium wiltons, they need it, and of course you can wet clean velvet suites and curtains.

I've helped four separate people into carpet cleaning, one did the dirty, but only lasted about six months, the others have all done pretty well and had no effect on my trading whatsoever, in fact I have passed on work when unable to do it myself and would be happy to include them in anything big that might come along.

I rarely come across another c/c when out and about and this has been the case for over 20 years.

It's a big market !

I don’t have a problem helping local newbies/competitor done it on several occasions, Friday showing some one how to remove/replace power steering pump on his van.
