upright tank.. no bulkhead.

does anyone have a 650 upright tank behind the van seats.... without a bulkhead?

if so how did you fit it .?  . thanks

it would take some planning, a cage defo round it and youd have to look underneath where it could be bolted (speaks from with so much experience now lol)

i have a 650 ibc and no bulkhead
secured with two 5 tonne ratchet straps
these are attatched to a galvanized steel "tray" bolted thru floor (spreaders behind) and chassis
i have got a drivers gaurd tho ;D
(cue various comments about safety ::))

i may try swap tank or buy bulhead from scrap yard.  ;D

what about drivers guard ???
surely if the tank is fitted properly it dont matter ???

Sounds ok to me, trust me i have seen a lot worse!!!

My van has an upright tank and no bulkhead, no problem with the fitting , ionics did it. ;D

This is sure to get a few people going ::)

steel bulkheads are only spot welded in, they do absorb a fair bit in a crash though, i know a elecricain who had a head on with a lorry, a drum of cable hit the bulkhead and made a dent next to his head, if it had been where his head had been, he would have been dead though

can anyone give me the dimensions of a 650 litre flat tank.

i have an upright... but want to test out the measurements in my new van...

please , i know they should be the same... but they could be different.

no problem, and the upright is

Height: 1010 mm

Width: 575 mm

Length: 1250 mm

so yes the same ;)
