I went to pick a van up with my daughter yesterday and got chatting to the guy selling the van, he told me a guy turned up with a set of ladders and asked if he wanted his windows cleaned?

He said he hadn't got a window cleaner so how much to do a 7 bedroom house, WC replys £15 the guy jumped at it, This guy turned up once again and he hasn't seen him since : To far for me to travel but I priced it at £35 for the amount of windows he had.
I said its one of 2 reasons you haven't seen him again.
1. Priced it wrong

summer and winter start ups are fine we all started this way except me i worked on a  firm for a year lernt the job the hard way commercial price work is a killer .put what i learned to good use 20 years later .........
ithe main issue with the i will do your school for a tenner is when theygo and the custy calls you  call you and you say£££££££££££££ they say how much and think you are ripping them off big time. yet even as a fast and properly equiped wc we know what the rate for the job shoul be the hourly rate for them appears to be just a few quid an hour also we have to repair the damage done to confidence in our proffesion now that is what is so gauling when they f off and leave us to pick up the peices it gives the cust the impression that we are all beer money  dole scroungers ect when the truth is the opposite that what put us into disrepute
