I have recently found out that the internal make up of leisure batteries is not always the same. The lead used can be of differing thicknesses and if the thinner lead is used and the battery is not topped up properly with distilled water it will buckle the leaves - making them useless.
I have got two really heavy leisure batteries bridged onto a heavy duty split charge relay. Go to a motor factors or old style vehicle parts centre and get advice on which are the best.
We ran two 100psi pumps on one leisure battery for a while but the figures don't add up.
One 110 amp battery will last for 11 hours from a 10 amp pump - therefore two running flat out should half the time before it needs recharging. I think that is right.
We have a bridge from the split charge across the two batteries so they are both getting charge as we move.
Hope this helps.
