i have been complaining of my whirlaway of late as it has not been performing like i expected, i tended to think a turbo was quicker all over as whirlaway did not remove all the weeds etc,  also my spray arm underneath  did not turn easily as i did not grease it much so i thought it needed a new bearing drum..  overall quite dissapointing!!     so i thought!  well holy jesus, after getting some advice of here and tried lowering the spray arm it has seemed to loosen the drum and now its virtually tearing the floor off, i have the arm level with the top of the spray skirt.  because i had the arm higher originnally it seem to clamp the drum tight thus slowing down the spray arm.  so now its like a new machine. awesome!  it leaves everything for dead!!

quite quiet at mo, but its the weather and the kids off school,  the onlt good thing about this weather is it makes everything go even more green than normal.  need a big promotion push towards winter.  you??

Only little bits now with the pressure washing.  Still busy with windows and the void cleans and repaints we do for a local housing assoc. 
Wont be long before the p/washing kit goes into hibernation for another winter.
Like you said tho all the rain helps the algae to grow and for people to notice how slippy their paths are.  Had a window customer of mine today ask for a quote for her patio.  Said she will run it past her hubby when he gets home.

which make of whirlaway are you using ? i,m having big problems with mine at the mo. the arm keeps sticking but i don't know if i can adjust the hight. business is slow here infact it has virtually dried up.

im using a 20" stainless steel one,  you need to loosen the 4 alan key slots a bit then the side one, that releases the spray bar drum so you can lower it,  if its to high the clamp will be tight on the drum and stop the drum spinning properley.

work is fairly slow all over with kids off but had 3 calls today, weird??

im using a 20" stainless steel one,  you need to loosen the 4 alan key slots a bit then the side one, that releases the spray bar drum so you can lower it,  if its to high the clamp will be tight on the drum and stop the drum spinning properley.

You don't need to loosen the 4 bolts holding clamp ring to the cover, just the 1- &mm allen nip bolt that straddles the slot. A good flat screwdriver just pushed in the slot and twisted or levered opens the slot to aid the bearing housing in sliding up or down.

I grease my whurlaway at the start of EVERY job never had a bit of trouble in 4 years now (touching wood as I type)
