The only downside would be for the tax dodgers who won't want to enter every job into the system.
Not at all.
Your turnover declared is what's paid into the bank each week, doesn't matter what's written on your little machine (unless someone else gets hold of it).

That’s not accurate; most likely if you are doing your accounts like that you will be not declaring all your earnings.

If thats the case then my last years turnover would be half of what I said it was ???
I certainly don't bank everything, whats the point of putting cash in to take it out again for general living expenses?

Nor do I.  Nor are you obliged to.  If a direct debit needs covering in my personal account, some of the cash won't even enter the business account as there wouldn't be time to transfer it and cover the DD.
However, it does get entered into my books whichever way I do it.

For the 50 notes that it costs...I cannot think of anything that has worked so hard for our little business....projections at the click of a mouse....backing up data, forcasts, running totals, expenses, milagages, debts, histories...all presented in a reliable format in a program that doe not try to use every single computer resource available...and to top that ...a programmer who does listen to his customers...

All in all...for me a great product...

Dave.
