I see what your saying but i don`t know how you can say that brush will last longer,it`s the same brush and bristles only the single hasn`t been chopped in the middle.

Dont ask me why it just has, I can only imagine the outer bristles are supported by the inner ones. The inner ones are hardly deformed at all but on the single trim the bristles have gone flat and deformed.

The inner 1`s are not deformed because there shorter.

The FACT is the dual trim is still going strong and the single trim is dead. I am no expert is brush science but the fact remains. Its not a matter of saying it will last longer, the FACT is it has.

But neither are the outer bristles deformed on the dual trim - therefore the dual trim is a better - longer lasting brush period.

Have used the Dual trim on some really bad windows, all nooks etc, and the brush is in fantastic shape, gets the glass and frames nice and clean on first cleans. I'm really happy with it, nice and light.

I hope to god I have not just been mugged off buying a single trim brush, test will tell on tues have new clean and will be testing on about 5 hours job.

I hope it dont let me down as I will not be to pleased

If i come across a bad looking first clean i automatically change to my vikan for the first time round then screw on a superlight for the final clean. This is because i'm not confident of their scrubbing power and i don't want to get those lovely white bristles dirty.  Overall an excellent brush for maintenance cleans in my opinion.

I have just used the dual trim on a large thatched farmhouse with georgian "deep" set windows. The lady said the windows had not been cleaned in 5 years!!! Believe it or not the bristles on the Vikan were too short and the stock kept hitting the frame. I switched to the dual trim thinking I was going to struggle with this amount of dirt especially as the frames were black.

However I was surprised how suited the brush was to the task. The centre bristles were excellent at hugging and cleaning the small deep Mutin bars  (pane dividers). I was happy, the customer was happy, and the windows were spot free! What more could I need? (apart from a day off)

I used the brush on a first clean last week, a big school, in fact it took 3 days for the outsides. Great splay, good scrubbing, got into the corners to get rid of the spiders nests, they had not had a clean for around 10 years plus. I am a Vikan fan, but was extremely impressed on how it performed and how light it is compared to my Vikans, so i will be using the SL brush from now on. I also used hot water with it as well,  it has not lost its shape one bit either.

had my dual trim since day after release, used day in, day out on everything, i only use cold wfp , i have no compalaints with it so far.only switch to vikan for conserv. roof cleans now.

So,... picking up my single trim from my dad's place tomorrow (Got it shipped over with his new SL2),... maybe a diy dual trim job is an idea? Can't be that hard,... someone post a pic of a dual trim one and I'll have a go with the scissors!

You dont say which one it was.... single or dual?

For me the priority is the lightness of the brush. Second is its scrubbing power. At the moment its top with me purely coz its light. Scrubbing seems good enough.
