I've got both, i think they are fine but not as good as a Vikan Mono for really dirty jobs.
Best brush i've ever used at that weight though. (there aren't many)

It takes longer than a few days to evaluate wether it`s good or not, wait until you go back to some of the jobs you`ve done with it and let them tell you.

Well it was long awaited and much heralded, mainly because of Alex's rep. When the slx came out it was much the same apart from the fact that everyone who got one was delighted, and by launch day and soon after there were huge threads singing it's praises.

This brush was supposed to address many problems, but the fact that it's been given such a muted reception leads one to presume it's a stinker.

No, not a stinker - it's just a brush after all, i don't know what people expect - maybe a brush that's so good there's no need for water?

I didnt ask for an evaluation, I asked for peoples opinion now they'd used it for a few days. Nothing conclusive.

Personally, I find it a joy to work with, sure it's more healthy for you  ;D

I like it a lot. I have the dt version and think it's good for scrubbing and rinsing brush on. I feel that it is better than a vikan mono.
Because of the lack of inner bristles though you have to make sure that any birds mess is scrubbed between the two jets not under a jet. I've found itkuch better for scubbing than a vikan or a gaz, but have had to resort to flipping the brush and using the stock as a scraper a few times.
My view a good brush maybe the best but not perfect yet.

Simon.

pretty good on maintenance cleans but terrible for one offs and dirty industrial work, also if used on the latter the lifespan of the single trim is next to nothing and ready for the bin in less than a month.
alex has deffinately got the weight right but the bristles need a lot of work yet and for the little bit of weight it will add a lot more bristles need adding.

better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

I have been using this brush for 3 week and its great....altho......Im not really much of a moaner and was happy with my vikan before .... except for the weight.

I suppose what I am saying is, its a good brush but because its so light, I love it.

Bit of a ramble but I hope you understand

I got my dt within 2 days of them being stocked. I  find it excellent. I have checked it rinsing on and can find no spots. Some people complain about the £39 cost(delivererd)  but I think it is a  fair enough price . You can't expect Alex Gardiner to use his time, risk his money etc for no return. I don't clean windows for nothing.

The single trim has already gone in the bin after 4 days but the dual trim is alive and doing well  ;D

I have been doing large commercial non stop for five days. On the SL2 there is no better brush than the superlite dual trim - as it works with hot well and leaves a good result. I think this is an excellent brush for the SL2 but if you looking for an everyday brush for your standard pole and weight is not the issue buy something else. I also think that if your using hot wfp the dual trim will last much longer as less scrubbing is required to remove impacted soil.

I see what your saying but i don`t know how you can say that brush will last longer,it`s the same brush and bristles only the single hasn`t been chopped in the middle.

Dont ask me why it just has, I can only imagine the outer bristles are supported by the inner ones. The inner ones are hardly deformed at all but on the single trim the bristles have gone flat and deformed.

I don't clean windows for nothing either, but if there is ever a problem then I'll sort  it immediately, it will be interesting to see how alex addresses this potential longevity issue, in which case £39 cost (delivered) is OTT.

The inner 1`s are not deformed because there shorter.
