carbon poles from williamson pumps
« on: August 15, 2008, 07:10:22 am »
hi guys,
thinking of upgrading from a cheap fibreglass pole to a light carbon fibre pole. when i use my pole its usually above 25ft and the fibre glass one sags way too much n puts a lot of strain on my back. i like the look of the pro-xl one. it seems good value for money, anybody got one or used one? are they reliable, are they rigid enough? do the threads last?

£1026 does that price sound ok for 40ft package?

Ionics stopped selling these poles about a year ago - the reason I heard was that there were too many breakages

What are you using it for? Commercial work or the odd window here and there?

For commercial a Gardiner pole systems SL2, which is modular.
For Residential and some light commercial where a modular wouldn't perhaps always be practical, I would get an Carbon fibre X-tel, or Facelift, both telescopic.
