Mr Bone,

What format is your neighbour nudger?  What does the copy consist of?

I'm curious because I've been doing these on selected jobs for a couple of months now and I'm looking to hone up my system a bit.

Thanks,

John.

Hi Guys

IN ten years I have never paid for advertising in any other place than YP. I have never done a single leaflet.

It's still working for me. (Cost c£2600 p.a.) although it is always the case that one book area will work with YP whilst another book area won't. I disagreeumption has always been that it possibly works better in big towns/cities than more "spread-out" areas.

The other reason for continuing is that for many customers they may have heard of your "brand" and to find it they instinctively turn to YP, scanning the ads till they find the one they are looking for.

With my tongue firmly in my cheek I am glad you are no longer in South Manchester YP. I'll get more calls! ;D even if they are initially "price-shoppers". At least I'll have to worry less that they may phone you for a price comparison. ;D

Mind you, your prices might have been enough to have them running into my open arms. ;D ;D

See when we cut to the chase...altec had a marketing plan thats been copied for years in some form or another............there is no new tricks.........no secret formula..... i think JK knows the score as so does MH.....and does others on this ive learnt more from this from 2003 than any other form of paid marketing...........

And i should know cause in 2000 i paid 10k for the home'n'dry thing..........
Carpet, Upholstery cleaning & hard floor cleaning.

John sorry Jim or anybody else,
Go to www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk and claim your free sample marketing strategy report (1 of 16 to be had ) and use it.
They work and cost buttons.

How you sell your service is very much an individual thing as what suits one person won't always suit another.
For a high volume of work leaflets will work but must have an OFFER to catch the eye just as any advert must PROMPT prospects to take action.

The DIRECT approach will be successful for only a minority as it requires a CONFIDENCE and a persona and most individuals lack either or both.

What wdoesn't work is constantly looking for something else without giving your current method enough time or energy.

Drybones

2 extra jobs from doing a neighbour nudger?  I would love to believe that's not exaggerating by some margin.

Is it the standard one from CS or have you adapted it?

Does any one have a copy of the other 15?? ;D

My marketing has just started this week, its based on mailshots to business's of all types (about 100 or so a week) it includes a letter plus a special offer leaflet.  Plus one day of leaflet dropping crossed with door knocking and chatting to businesses.

Plus neighbour nugers of course!

I hope to carry this on with a structured approach on a weekly basis for months to come.  I am hoping to find some regular maintenance carpet cleaning which will help during quieter times.

Our first leaflet day was Tuesday and we have had 4 bookings from this with a value of around £350, so all in all quite a succesfull marketing day!

regards

Paul

Hi Guys

All my marketing efforts now go into internet, I have several sites covering the areas I work , plus lots of generic sites such as sofa cleaning, settee cleaning , leather clean , chair cleaning, dry carpet cleaning, green carpet cleaning etc

I also have sites covering most areas of UK, some of which are used by other CC's.

My problem is not enough time as my CC side is the busiest it has ever been, no doubt linked to the websites.

Cheers

I agree, since I've had 2 websites and additions from Doug I have noticed an increase in the web customer calling.

Hi Guys

Shaun is after world domination, at least Yorkshire anyway ::).

Many searches of Sheffield related cleaning have him in all the top positions in various guises.

For example try leather cleaning sheiffield.

I have something similar in Essex although there is a lot more competition for web rankings.

Cheers

Doug
