Old resin will start to add to the water tds. How old is your resin?

Change resin, also make sure that you've got the inlet and outlet on the vessel not mixed up. My vessel plays up when I've got it the wrong way around.

Could have been stored incorrectly, could be spent due to moisture? Or so I heard.

You can get away with just resin.  The best way would be a twin canister system as this would maximise resin life.  You could try weak resin in the first canister which brings it down to 20-30 and lasts for ages and then standard (strong) resin to polish it down to 0.  Either of the above methods would be quite economical although neither would be as cheap as using RO.

Even at that tds I would still just use an RO, why waste money on resin. Yea it's quick, but from static IBC to van is quick aswell, in the long run an RO is more economical.

First things first, problem needs to be solved. I can only suggest what I wrote ^^ up there.

Ive had this problem myself

i invited thorpy to come over and try to give me some idea as to what the problem was .......

But after an hour or so and some headscratching we gave up

i replaced the membrane and prefilters and hey presto it works 95% better

But i still think my resin has gone to pot as it doesnt seem to last no longer than a day or so with a reading of 000
