A Mesh half height bulkhead is also not an option Fiat list for the Doblo however I
can arrange the fitting of an after market half height mesh bulkhead at a cost of
£120.00.

To supply a vehicle with the options above would require a factory order however
Vansdirect do have vans in stock with a similar option list. The only options not
available are Satellite Navigation and the Larger Payload.

We can supply a TomTom or similar Sat Nav system as an aftermarket product. The
standard payload of the Doblo is 730kg so the higher payload only increases by
120kg.

We do not charge for delivery anywhere in Mainland UK. The only additional monies
to be added to the totals listed above are Road Fund Licence and VAT.

For other places to look...I would try your local British Car Auctions

They have vans going under the hammer virtually every day and there are some serious savings to be had! and most of them are direct from leasing/large companies/finance house/manufacturers....its where the trade get their vehicles.

If you dont know a lot about vehicles, take a mate along who knows about them and you could get yourself a real bargain.

I got myself a 30k convertible Merc for 18k and every van I've had for the last ten years has been from these guys. It can be a bit exciting and its VERY fast!! so be sure you know what you want before you bid.

They have vans going under the hammer virtually every day and there are some serious savings to be had! and most of them are direct from leasing/large companies/finance house/manufacturers....its where the trade get their vehicles.

If you dont know a lot about vehicles, take a mate along who knows about them and you could get yourself a real bargain.

I got myself a 30k convertible Merc for 18k and every van I've had for the last ten years has been from these guys. It can be a bit exciting and its VERY fast!! so be sure you know what you want before you bid.

I prefer to thrash mine then sell it not by a thrashed 1,30k is a hell of a lot of miles to have on a van when it`s been driven by a numb nut for 18 months.My van has 30k at the moment and that`s a lot of driving,i would steer clear of x hire or lease when it comes to vans especially.

Thats why its a good idea to take a mechanic or someone with a bit of know how on vehicles.

Go to their site and you can enter your prefered mileage and age.

Some of them are ex-demos with a few hundred miles on the clock.

I prefer to buy a tool for the job at the best price I can afford.

No point speccing out on a new van if I can get a second hand van to do the same job without the initial depreciation.

In days gone by, it made sense to buy new on lease. These days, the government have cracked down so hard on 'pool resource vehicles' that there is no real cost saving over 3 years. You might as well buy outright and have the van on your books as a depreciating asset.

It also means you can go outside the dealer network for servicing....

This is a veritable minefield and all down to personal preference at the end of the day. I dont want to argue who's right and who's wrong...because nobody is right or wrong.

....I just put forward an alternative.

I'd have to say Vansdirect are the best I've found in fact I ordered my second van from them about 6 hours ago

I bought a new Peg Partner last Christmas and, coincidentally,  my mate bought a Fiat D  about the same time.
We both shopped around and did our research and in both cases ended up getting our vans from the Main Agents. I was suprised at the deal they offered me. They beat Vans Direct.
I think the main agents are struggling at the moment and will offer discounts to get the business.

I agree, when I get my next van on the road I will be getting one from the Auctions and saving my self thousands in the process
