Funny you should post that just at the same time I got 2 c/f modular sections stuck together  :'( Got them home and heated them up with a hot air gun and 10 seconds later they where free  ;D

Yep I'm going the right way. I'll give the wd40 a go failing that I'll get my missis hair drier on it.  Just a bit frightened of crushing the pole.

Cheers guys. First time I've really used the goodeneck. I normally stick with the swivel on an angle adapter, but the angle adapter snapped today and I didn't have another one predrilled.

If stiffens up a bit cos it`s metal on metal.

Usually I have to advise users on how to keep their G-fit tight on the end of the pole!

As has been said metal on metal can cause quite a tight fit, so the best way of undoing this would be to get one person to hold the poles top section tightly and then if you 'wobble' the gooseneck back and forth whilst trying to unscrew it, this will allow a little movement on the thread which will enable you to unscrew it little by little.

Thanks for the  tip alex. I followed the advice on your YouTube video and did it nice and tight. Mental note "eat less spinage".

I'll try all the ideas out when I get home and after dinner.

Cheers all.

Your not screwing it on far enough, when it`s screwed right on it feels as if it`s rubbing against the pole itself when in fact it`s not really.Turn the pole into the gooseneck not the other way round,it fits better.

Tightening it up should do the trick. Occasionally it doesn't and then I recommend using a dab of glue in one place on the thread to act as a threadlock. This works a treat and doesn't stop you undoing it if needed.

Got it loose in the end wooopie.

Had to vice the gooseneck in the end.  Did the wd40 and Alex's method which may have loosened it, but there's no way that it was coming off when out on the road.

Bod if you want yours tightened I'll do it, but you might not get it off.  :)
