You may have a small leak in the line, and the pressure is being released before the pump can reach its cut out pressure.
Another thing may be that at that speed, the pump simply isn't capable of building up 100 PSI.
Running continuously and putting strain on the pump will undoubtedly shorten the life of the pump. A simple fix is to adjust the pressure switch on the pump. All you need is a little alan key which goes in the end of the pump where the pipes fit. Its adjustable down to 60 PSI normally which is still more than enough to push water up an 80' high pole,....
My pump (a 100psi sureflow one)has been set to 70 PSI for a few months now,.. no problems at all.
