Are you ready for this......
Cotton nappies although the same things are sold as cotton towels through carpet cleaning outlets.

I have used terries nappies for years but I was so impressed by the Unger microfibre cloths I thought I would try a microfiber sill cloth from here;

I have to say I now much prefer them as they hold a load of water and you can wring them out to almost dry and keep using for most of the day. In fact I just change mine when it gets dirty now.

Terries nappies have given me years of service but as with scrim V microfiber , technology has moved on  ;)

It's Unger microfibres for me too. I use them for detailing first till they become too wet then use them for the frames. I don't use anything else.

Buy cheap T shirts from Primark (£2). Wear them for work until they get tatty then use them for sill cloths. They are 100% cotton.

Microfibre cloths are too good for sills.
