yes it does cause problems, stones will damage it, and the puddles, wet grass can affect it, and not to mention the sore back you get after a while

david, just noticed you have gone through 4 batteries in 6 months, i still have the same battery and i have had mine 9 months, mind you i have notice on setting 4 is less powerfull more like 2 now, so looks like a new battery for me now, while am here, anyone know where to buy the cheapest 12v 7amp backpack battery
