some fortnightlys i have now want to go monthly fair enough with the credit cr. but wondering to add to price and by how much anyone in same boat?

W/C's keep posting on here saying that they would rather extend the periodic intervals between cleans rather than lose a customer. At what point is extending the duration taking the mickey? Uk w/c's will end up like the Americans over the pond in years to come.

had a few switch to monthly and i just left it as i wasnt charging anymore for the ones i did monthly anyway, but did give one a rise as she asked for a discount for fortnightly price, so i added the so called discount back on even though i hadnt discounted it anyway just said i had and to be honest they arent much dirtier after a month

i add money on when they double the time between cleans, majority of mine are 3 weekly and one or 2 have gone 6 weekly recently, i add about £2 to £10 houses, and some i have at fortnightly that are £4 that go monthly i stick £1 on, so i suppose thats about 20%, but you know whether you are pushing it or not with your customers? mine have all been okay though, i just put in relation for them and say you are still saving £8 or £4 a month etc, and they understand that they get dirtier, although it isnt that much but shhh

i dont think you should charge more for monthly  maybe 8 weeks but at 4 weeks most windows stay reasonably clean

I would not charge anymore.  Times for some people are tough at the moment and chances are if you tried to put them up, and they really are struggling then it will more than likely be your final clean. Any how I cant imagine it will take any longer to do if it is fortnightly or monthly

i always charged a mthly price for fntly , then if they decrease freq. i dont have to put up price, i do the same for large mthly i e charge for bi mthly , if you know what i mean. all mine are mthly or bi mthly now you can charge more. commercial is whatever freq. they want.

I won`t go any longer than 12wks unless the money for the job is silly,if they want longer there taking the pee.

the vast vast majority of my work is based on fortnightly cleans and why this is is because my customers want clean windows all of the time and not clean half the time and dirty the other half and windows do get dirty in two weeks, my work in burnley gets dirty in 2 days so i suppose it all depends on the area, i have had 3 monthly customers go fortnightly on me in the last week and 1 fortnightly go monthly because of the credit crunch...   that was £24 i put it up to £30 she has an austin martin and a merc on her drive so she can afford it..  i would definately put prices up if there is a bigger gap between cleans.. about 20%

i tell you the windows  in burnley after i have not been there for 2 weeks are absolutely filthy.....   i always thought that most window cleaners bsed there work on 2 weekly and if any of my monthlys go 2 monthly they generally get done every 6 months because they fall out of my routine and i struggle fitting them back in...
