It's okay as a starter web site.

Few things to change......to jazz it up a bit........

1.  Change the font that is used as the main text.   Currently its probably set as "Times New Roman" or something similar.   Choose a font called Verdana, or Arial.  Much, much nicer to read and to look at.

2.  Add something extra to the HEADER, the long white bar that has your logo in it.

Other than that you should make more use of bold. 
Also try using some bullets points to make paragraphs more easier on the eye.

this site is being updated throughout today, Kev the code passed validation 
I cant please everyone, most people that have seen it said they liked it.
logo is the guys logo.

we will see from the results it gets if it works.

please can you point out the spelling mistakes please as this was proof read earlier not by me.

I dont have a problem doing this but this is the owners choice to make, I like it both ways left and centered

Ian be honest, the code passed validation! only just , this is not your best work I have seen you do much much better. Did you throw your normal "cool design" work out of the window?

As a web designer isnt it your job to advise your client - especially when the logo isn't theirs of even if used with with permission it looks like crap.

Mate I don't want to be harsh as praise is often due to you but this time it isnt. I bet a £10 this took a few hours and you were in a rush.

Love your work normally as you know  If ever I build one that bad please let me know

Don't look at me as a critic, look at me as a friend  at least improve the layout and make the banner (white) more transparent and play with the logo to make it more acceptable and less pixillated.

Its his business after all
