chewing gum removal from Rubber floors

Hi people,
this question may have been asked loads of times before, but i have had a quick scroll through the messages and not found it.
is there an easy way of getting chewing gum off of rubber/vinyl floors?
these specific ones are on swimming pool changing rooms; which are constantly wet so you wouldn't think they would go hard, but beleive me they do; and are proving difficult to get off, short of sitting around for hours with a scraper. many thanx

Hi Goodhand,
You need a dry steam cleaner. This type of equipment will peel the gum off vinyl, rubber floors etc in no time. There are lots on the market from £90 up to £6000! There are several good suppliers of this equipment but Express Cleaning Supplies do have an excellent range, try visiting their site.

What about freezer sprays?
You might then be able to break them up and hoover away or scrape them off quicker...

Freezer sprays are a slow method and great care has to be taken as it is very easy to damage the carpet fibres when using this method
