« on: July 24, 2008, 10:22:22 pm »
why does nobody sell a 4 section 18ft carbon fibre pole?

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

Because its pointless

you need carboon fibre for stiffness

At 18ft theres no problem with rigidity of fibre glass

You wouldnt even notice the difference, except that it would be twice the price

I used one for a year - really easy to do, cheap too, though not as cheap as a Harris pole. Jeff Brimble is the man on this. I simply slotted about six inches of broom handle with the threaded bit into the top section and bonded it in. Obviously you can't use the very whippy sections but an eleven metre Ron Thompson Gangsta pole will give you a very light 25 foot carbon pole.

I have cut a facelift down to 21ft and you do notice the difference,it is like a broom handle and a superb poleThe best way to do it is cut 1 down,it`s easy enough to do.
