Dog Saliva on Leather Suite
« on: February 02, 2005, 08:44:22 pm »
Hi,

Don't know how many of you clean leather out there, but I've just cleaned one that was splashed with saliva from the dog shaking its head.

Try as I might I couldn't get the marks to shift, thought it must be acid from the saliva eating into the leather

Can anyone enlighten me or help with a solution

Ian

My first thoughts on this Ian, is that saliva contains enzymes used to digest foodstuff. We eat animals. leather comes from animals. Nuff said?

Then of course, I may be wrong :-[

Safe and happy cleaning :)
