To answer the question, if you can make 400 a day with 2 men I would forget WFP and stick to your existing round.  Thats good going.  I presume its a full round.

WFP is quicker on an average round.  You have an initial outlay, and its ongoing cost is more.  I was doing pretty well trad and made the wfp jump.  Turnover is now a bit more, net profit the same allowing for inflation.

Where do you live out of interest thread starter?

I guess thats not as much as it sounds if your a Londoner.  I'm happy with 250-300 a day with 2 men, but its easy to forget the difference in cost of living and how much that relates to income.  250 where I'm from is probably 350-400 in London terms.

I had competition today in Torquay by 1 guy who did the fronts of a house up a ladder trad and his mate doing the backs with wfp. They were already setting up the wfp gear when I pulled up in my van. I cleaned 5 (fronts only) to their 1 house (front & back) and packed my gear away and drove off before they finished their house. They're not competition for me just yet :)

I am not surprised they're not competition! Why did the bloke who was wfp only do the back? It would of made more sense for him to do the tops and the trad guy the bottoms. In fact I am quite sure that they were actually breaking the WAHD. They had the means on site to avoid the ladder work so in the event of an accident it would be hard for them to say  to the HSE that there was no other viable way to clean the windows. (Tuppence take note!)

big question .... is it quicker with wfp ......
i do both trad and wfp, but the wfp only comes out on office blocks where h&s is a big concern
in my opinion a good trad w/c is faster than anyone using a pole system.
im not blowing my own trumpet but ive never met any w/c with a pole who is faster than me with my ladder FACT
dont get me wrong wfp has its good points ... its a lot safer and ... its a lot safer... and its a lot safer but apart from that a trad w/c leaves a much better finish a trad w/c can give the cills a good wipe down and get the bird crap off properly, the pole just doesnt do that
