Steve I'm glad it worked out well for you :) I've had the busiest january ever, the free livingroom with a suite clean has been my most popular, I'm almost cleaning a suite every day.

I'm trying to think of a way to use this lealfet throughout the year.

all i'm giving away is 15minutes of my time because the machinary is already set up to clean the suite, to do the carpet does'nt take long.

plus if I'm cleaning the carpet as well I don't have to spend time putting down all the protective sheets :) :)

Mike

ps £120 to clean the suite

Ian, £2.60/m don't know what that is in feet, the £120 for a suite is without VAT  because after talking to my accountant I'm reconcidering the VAT situation.

Cheryl,
I think you will find that Mike is talking about, what I call the Hi Lite areas only, i.e. the open uncovered central area and walk through from the doors. Dont forget that if you are doing it for free, are you really going to spend a lot of time doing EVERYTHING, that you would do, on a job you were getting paid for. Like they say you get what you pay for, there's NO free lunches, its simply a sales ploy. Many may not like this fact, but in the real world thats how it works.
Personally I dont like running offers of any description but if I get beaten down in price say by 30% I either walk away or I do 30% less of a job, they dont get it both ways. If they want the full works they pay my full price, if they want to compromise on price - I compromise on the job. Fortunatly these situation are few and far between, but some will try it on.

Cheryl, because I use 3 blowers when i quote a suite I advise the client to remove all small items (coffee tables magazine racks etc) out of the room, usually all that's in the room when I clean a suite is the suite and the TV. I can vac, pre-spray scrub extract in 15-20 mins

although lots of the carpets I clean are not dirty so I can bypass the pre-spray & scrub and just rinse it through with my T/M ( using Craftex Neutracare, a nuetral ph detergent designed for wool carpets) this still gives great results
