Powerburst results-first outing
« on: July 14, 2008, 12:33:59 pm »
Had a very manky carpet today thought I would try PB on it.

Used UM in solution and acid spray after.

Second pic is after wanding and pre spotting of 2 small areas.

Good results Mike, how long have you been CC for now?

have you ever put before and after photos on any of your flyers? I'm just having a batch printed at DP and have included some before and after pics on there - hope it will grab there attention and make them read on.

Mike,
looking at the pics I do say , I have to agree with others comments to some extent, can stiil see marks and one particuler bad one .
i know we cant always remove evry thing,
but to be honest, I wouldnt post pics of a carpet unless they are not far from perfect ;)
bound to attract derogatory remarks ;)

Powerburst is a good product But, on some low profile carpet esp CGD & some poly checkerboard its not as good.
On these I prefer Blitz with added Grease Breaker as it out performs PB.

Mike are you saying you have not done the whole carpet in the second picture, or am i reading it wrong ?

In which case have you got a photo of the whole thing done ?

Like Dave Annable I am presuming the 2nd picture shows left side of carpet done and the right side still to do.
If thats the case I would say the left side aint all that bad at all.

I would have preferred to see a photo of the same piece of carpet before it cleaned and then after and been able to see it was the same piece ie same furniture or doorway etc.

Think he means that is the first clean on the area and he will go over it again for a second clean..

Blimey

No wonder nobody hardly ever post pics.

First of all I never said it was brilliant all I was doing was showing the results of after wanding an area presprayed with powerbusrt.

The first pic clearly shows that furniture was move to one end, the second shows that the other end is yet to do and you can see a big dirty mark on the right that still has to be done.

I also point our that there was some spotting to do on two parts, but if I had put a picture up of that it would have nothing to do with powerburst.

Thirdly there were no marks once I had spotted and the customer was very happy with the  final results.

Thanks alot guys.

Mike,
Ignore them, there's always someone willing to pull you to bits for daring to stick your head above the parapet.
I don't know you and have never met you but you certainly come across to me as a committed professional person determined to produce the very best results every time, as we know only too well, sometimes that just isn't possible and those who don't know it already soon will, but I wonder if they will be brave enough to post pictures on here, somehow I doubt it.
Well done!

I don't think any one is pulling him to bits , sometimes its just a bit of banter, I personally learnt something, Blitz and grease breaker kindly submitted by Glynn

John

Powerburst is a great product, it is ideal for greasy environments. Restaurants etc.
I do however think that ultrapac renovate is far better on heavily soiled carpets especially polyprop.

Mike good result. Im glad your getting on with it as I now use it for about 80% of my work.
Got to laugh as I had a big discussion :) at the end of last year with Simon about it as i had never used it,because of that I bought a tub and hey what a top chemical.

I dont think you have an CRB machine Mike, if you get one and aggitate the Powerburst prespray in then virtually everything comes straight out.

I  only rinse it with fresh water too.

Oh and keep on putting the pictures up, the neg remarks are only off turkeys anyway. ;)

Joking aside I do my absolute best to get as good a result as possible, spending as much time as possible, with the knowledge I currently have.

I should have made it clearer what the second picture showed.

Thank God I've got some of Len's before and afters. ;D

John,
I very much doubt it and I certainly wouldn't have been bold enough to post a picture of a less than perfect job so hats off to Mike.

Twice recently, after prespraying with PB, intending to put a solution rinse through the machine, I have forgot to turn the solution on and ended up rinsing with just water. The cleaning result was that good I didnt know until I was finished and warming down the TM.
Mike isnt that a Shadow carpet, if it is I wouldnt have acid rinsed it, I have found that UM returns it to neutral even after a PB prespray.
