hi, be very careful about what insurances you get , i am in the same boat and i was looking for public liabilty, when i asked if the insurance covered srhinkage ect ect , a couple told me that it did, and most said that it didnt.
on pushing the matter further the companies which told me that this was included , were wrong. you need sepearate insurance for this type of cover.
i have had a couple of replys to this if you search the threads.
i was qouted £77 for public /L fro axa insurance.
hope this helps, jim!!

HI

I got our insurance through a Company called McGregor Lloyd.  They do Public Liability, Tools and Treatment insurance.  It is up for renewal in a few months so I'm not sure of what the price would be,  also we are members of the NCCA & I'm not sure if they do pref. rates.
Hope that this helps.  There tel no is 0121 706 0616.

Good luck with the new venture
Regards

£77 doesn't sound like you are getting enough insurance or are not going to be insured for a high enough amount.

Adequate Public liability & treatment risk usually runs into several hundred pounds.

£77.00?????????  that sounds like a very basic cover from axa  we use axa and for £10 000 000 employees liability  £5000 000 public liability   £1500 for tools on site or in the van and £20 000 of cover per machine to cover the tmount costs us £1450.00
