LINO TYPE MATERIAL
« on: July 03, 2008, 08:25:41 am »
Please advise  the best way to restore as new.
Client in office stairway, kitchen, toilets and reception has lino type material. This has been down for 4+ years and has a lot of foot traffic.
It is mopped once a week and now client wants this to be resored to near new condition with stripping.
Advised that it was not possible to strip , am I correct but would try to resore to new condition.
Any suggestions please?

You need to strip, seal then apply polish, I'd do something like the prochem hard floor course to give you an idea

Any pictures? It seems that it may be Altro safety flooring. It could be sealed but would not reccomend as it reduces its slip resistance. I would either machine scrub or clean with a vacuumated steamer

you really need to find out if its Marmolium... (lino) or Cushion floor?
If its Lino you can used a Blue pad or black srub with cleaning solution and buff with Red pad....
Carpet, Upholstery cleaning & hard floor cleaning.
