cubes for storing pure water
« on: June 27, 2008, 02:49:51 pm »
hi guys i have been reading the forum for long time and finally decided to post a topic. i have just invested in a wfp system an i am in the process of geting it set up.  i have bought 2 cubes for storing the water that has been put through the merlin. there seems to have been sum kind of oil in them when i put water at 3 tds it comes out of cube at 40/50tds. does anyone know of anything i could use to clean inside of cube to leave the water coming out the same as goin in. have learned alot from this forum and i hope u can help

you will need a  degreaser chemical to break down the oil.and if you can  get a small  power washer it might do the trick.worth a try nothing ventured nothing gained

hot soapy water should break down the oil, homebase pressure vessal £19.99 and use that to clean inside will be a ball ache doing it though.

What did you pay for them ? and where are you in the uk as loads of people have ibc's that they want to sell. if your near peterborough I can get hold on one for you.

just take health and safety we work in a nany state they know this, you will be fine, also say that ladders are dangerous and you are not taking that risk anymore and you are complying with H & S
