if you want the website at the same time please call sooner rather than later as they take time to design and get details from you.

It's a good idea Angel, if I knew you I would put some business your way.
You have to understand though where some guys are coming from, you could be working for the inland revenue for all they know. Personally I have nothing to hide, some others may be a little more cautious.

Nothing to do with hiding anything more protecting a round that has been built over years and I guess most would agree with that, I personally dont use george as system I have works fine.

This idea as you say is a good one but asking people to trust there business to a total stranger is another thing even if they are honest I still would not do it as it it private to my comapany and I am sure my customers would not welcome the fact that I gave all there personal details to someone else.

I have struggled a bit with "free" george , and understand why I would want somone to help me personally !   When you want to get on and clean windows , and you are trying to be up to date , then the personal touch is worth more than a few quid !  I can understand where this service would be usefull  And for all the knockers . . . . . . . . put your brain into gear before your mouth goes into motion !

I just looked at the 1st post and it looked like a newly joined member plugging a business venture without doing any research given that most of the questions posed are more than discussed on this site...

Good luck to her and the new venture but I cannot see a real service for inputing customer names, adds, cleaning cycles...etc...

Seriously guys give the woman a chance, some of you are so full of it - what happens when you canvass a new area?  does the homeowner tell you to get lost?  do they enquire that you only want to clean their windows so that you can come around and steal stuff?  I suppose none of you get paid by cheque - its got bank details on it too.

Angel is trying to establish a business - she's motivated - the last thing she needs is you lot putting her down.

I am based in Surrey but it doesnt really matter when it comes to the virtual assistant type of business that I am running as most business can be conducted via email, post or fax.

I can see that some people might have a need for some of your services.  Personally, I am reasonably OK at using my chosen computer software and don't need to farm that work out.  Good on you for having a go.

Angel, if i did take you up on this, would you manage all of george along with all of the tax/receipts that need to be done each year (like an accountant) so including more than just george, also including things like phone calls to customers (for example, late payments, or scheduling, some of us usually ring customers the day before to confirm). I would have to send you all my receipts for fuel and business equipment. I find george simple and easy to use, it can be irritating loading in new customers, though once its all on there it only takes around 10 minutes to put in the days info such as jobs done etc.. and rescheduling for the next day. I would need to be able to contact you regularly to exchange info via email/fax etc. & be able to do other irregular managing/paperwork tasks if they come up, mostly on computer.

What would you do? they can prove they bought it and they have all the names and addresses and prices.

You would have to be very thick to do that discount.
the person buying would come unstuck, the person selling would end up in court for fraud and the poor person that bought it would lost out unless they paid with a credit card.
would be a pain in the backside explaning this to customers why someelse has there details and would make you look very bad in there eyes.

I am not stupid nor would I give out all my customers personal details to anyone.

If Angel gave some verifiable details this might be a different matter. I'm sure anyone wanting to do this as a business would have already have thought this through and decided that being able to verify and vouchsafe their trustworthyness would be the number one selling point (after the service itself).
