Been considering getting a retractable hosereel (standard bore garden hose 13mm), keeping a length of 10mm microbore for the pole, but was wondering if going to a bigger bore hose would lead to loss of pressure at the brush.

Over the same length, the bigger bore hose will increase the flow to the pole hose. The pump will not have to work as hard.

Just slide the microbore into the normal hose and tighten up with a jubliee.
