I think you might need a little luck - it can be grief getting paid 90 days in arrears let alone up front

I wish, just make sure you date your invoice for the relevant month and you may just get paid in 2months time, with a few chasing calls!

How many clients have you tried it with? So they pay you before you do the work?

I know two occasions when this has happened. The first company went bust and the second are willing to pay 12 months in advance for a discount.
Offer them a reduced price.

if the issue you are addressing is cash flow, why not look at using an invoice finance company, they will advance you (for a fee) a percenatge of your invoice when you raise it, they will then collect the invoice from your commercial customer, deduct other fees and pay you the balance

To clarify how i invoice, my next invoice run will take place on 01/07/08 payment terms 30 days by the time the cleans  have been completed for July the invoice is ready for payment. I have a couple of clients who pay before the payment term is up.

If they are regular contracts then it does not matter what the invoice terms are just as long as you put one in every month then you`ll get paid every month, some of mine are 30 days some are 60 or even 90 days it only makes a difference for the first period.

I invoice the same as newbroom and have never had any problems, infact I have clients that pay early, however I am very good at credit control so this helps!
