stair cleaning
« on: June 20, 2008, 04:47:51 pm »
I have been asked to quote for stair cleaning in blocks of flats, by a local housing association. This would be an ongoing contract with a weekly or fortnightly clean. Could any one guide me on what to charge.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to work out what you need to charge per hour to cover your costs and make a living/profit. Then you can guestimate how long the job is going to take and work your hourly rate out.

approx £12 - £15 per block (G, 1, 2) per clean.
to include
dust/polish ballustrades, handrails, skirting, cills, ledges, door frames, nosings, door furniture
vac carpet
front door glass
outside step/pathway
sweep + disinfect refuse area.

couple of windows once a month £5

1 person about 40-45 mins each visit, a bit more for the bad days i.e after xmas, when they all
decide to drag their trees down the stairs without bagging them up.
