The main reason poles wear out is the ingress of dirt and grit in between the sections. This gets in when the pole is extended and dirty hose that has been dragged around the floor goes up the pole.

Having this loose pole hose around your feet when the pole is closed or not fully extended is also a trip hazard and easily tangles pn nearby objects which costs time.

The solution is to have a hook on the end of whatever it is you use to attach the hose to you. (i use a harness but some use a belt).

Loop the pole hose over the hook so that it is neat and out of the way. Unhook when you need some slack.

Takes some getting used to but miles better.

What happens when you want some slack then and un hook a bit from your hip where does that bit of hose go on the ground if you ask me,drop a bit more slack off the hook on the floor again.To be of any use you would have to have something that kept the pole hose completley off of the ground therefore unable to pick up any grit-dirt,a better idea would be to remind yourself to maintain your poles more often ie rinsing them down with water and wipeing them down with a clean cloth,my facelift pole has had the life of a king the way i`ve looked after it and it works better now than it did over 2 years ago when i first got it.

And also if you have your minibore to close to you all the time you have no slack pole hose to move around and clean more windows without having to keep pulling the hose,this is the thinking when using a trolley or backpack,you want loads of pole hose so you can dump the bacpack-trolley and clean loads without having to keep moving things.Seems to me that your thinking of money spinning ideas and not what works best.

why have the pole hose any longer than a fully extended pole ,when it extended cut the pole hose off and
put on the fitting much quicker no long hose to wrap up wipe the little bit left with a cloth and on to next job
simple when you know how!! also it keeps the hose fitting off the ground and stops it getting knacked

ahh you see I like about 15mtrs of pole hose on a 17ft pole as it means I don't need to pull the microbore all the way around each building, I just pull it to the corner and work away.  It also saves lifting the connection every 2 mins to stop it dragging on the ground

my son leaves a full 30mtr reel of pole hose on each pole!  loads of places where he doesn't even need to pull any hose out - he just plugs in and goes
