I've by-passed the PCB on BP and all is working fine.. I use a flow control on my poles so this gives me some control on the flow rate. Just wondering if his set up can run indefinitely, personally I cant see any reason why not.

But just in case !!
Where do you get a new PCB for backpack anyone remember? Seen it on a thread recently but can't find it. and how much do the cost if anyone has bought one?

when my pcb packed in cleantech sent me new one .but just had varitech cat through door they do them for £37.45 .i thought new one had packed in .but. jeff 1. told me to connect batt straight to pump .done this n pump started .so put it all back together .n.pcb .n its working now . im still baffled .ill give it a try tommorow n see how it goes .

38 quid is way over priced in my mind, for a pcb board, they are having a laugh,
if jeff brown is watching this post, i bet he could make them half the price and probibly  more reliable,

You just did what they advise in the manual, this way you test the pcb and the pump, if on replacement of the pcb it stopped  working this is an indication that the pcb is at fault.

If this is the second pcb you have fitted then there is something else wrong that's causing the pcb to blow.
Make sure no bare wires are touching any metal parts, you could well have a faulty pump causing a power surge, this may and could be blowing your pcb.

Any 12v switch will work, go to Halfords and buy one there.

I'll tell you the thing that really annoy's me, is the pcb cost around £10-£15 to produce and thats an over statement.

I don't mind anyone making a profit but as usual were the targets for a big rip off.

Out of curiosity I've emailed the supplier in the USA for a price and delivery for a replacement PCB so watch this space.

Hey guys if your talking about the Schurflo backpacks then ive just bought and fitted 2 new PCB's. They cost about £20.00 each from Williams Pumps 08452263638, speak to Andrew Hunter.

now that is more like it 20 quid is better than 50,  just though of a good idea, you can buy the pcb board and fitt it into a wcw backpack, am sure that would be easy enough to do

tested a back pack and it nearly did me in, didnt realise how blummin heavey water is, its not natural to carry that load on ya back...settles for a trolley on wheels does the trick and is has a cracking 100psi pump, the kids love playing with it in the garden...brodex and a few other have them on wheel you wont regret it.
