« on: June 09, 2008, 07:52:26 pm »
lost my tds meter about a week ago,   tap tds is 47 run through ro brings down too 003 then resin to polish, got the set up new six weeks ago and produced about 750 litres a week, what are the chances of my tds reading going up in that time

Why didn't you just order a new TDS meter for next day delivery?

Depending on how big the vessel is will determine how long the resin lasts.  But if it's going in at 3 the resin should last a pretty long time, for an 11L vessel you'd be looking at 6 months to a year.

Buy another tds and if the other one turns up keep it in the van.

Simon.

Mine normally runs 003 after ro then 000 after di.

Been like this for 6 months but now changed to 004 after di.

I think you should be ok but get a reading from a hand tds met

I presume my di needs changing but have just posted a question incase its something else.

Hope this helps.

Tap TDS 47! Wow that is nice and low.  If I were you I probably wouldnt bother with RO having a TDS that low you could maybe get away with DI only and be able to produce pure water as fast as it will come out of the tap.

But anyway, even with no DI, 003 is well ok for use.  I have used water up to 009 before with no problem, but only in an emergency and I wouldnt make a habit of it.

It will be ok

have to say with tds of 47 is roughly what i get i use di only and its instant water although the ro would probably save money in long run i prefer to have water quickly

I wouldn't worry about it. I have used water at 10 in the past without problem. If your DI wasn't working at all, at 3 from the ro you would not have any issues.

at 047, I would connect DI straight to custies tap direct to your pole. that would defo save water. (for you anyway)
