I think i  remember reading it can take upto 14 days to work,

I do it before the jobs as a large area can take 3 times as long as it should do otherwise, i also think that you have more chance of removing the whole weed/grass rather than just chopping the top off it if its been weed killered.

I suppose in an ideal world before and after the clean would be the best but its not that realistic because customers generally want to keep the costs down. I therefore favour before due to time saving doing the job.

I`ve been buying it for £10 a tub in my local diy,i only got it cos it was the only one that said you have to be over 18 yrs to buy it so i thought it must be strong,i have been putting it down when i get the job, along with a deposit, then going back at least 3 days later, doing job and giving it a spray again at the end.You don`t get a measuring scoop with it though, not too impressed by it and am trying the weedoll satchets.Maybe i`m not leaving it long enough but i reckon once they start going brown they`re dead.Do you reckon a can or sprayers best?

B&Q do a big bucket for £10. I mix it in a 25litre screw top drom like TFR comes in. I measure ou the quantity for 25 litres into drum put abot 6inches of water in the drum, screw on the cap and shake it like billio until it seems mixed. Then top up to to 25litres. I then pour this mix into a 7 litre watering can with the rose upturned and do a square patch getting it bigger each time. The upturned rose it to stop the undissolved bits blocking the holes as they seem to be heavier than water and stay in the bottom. Also mixing in 25litre lots allows refilling of watering can before the done area dries, so you know where you are.
I find sprayers far to much hassle and I believe you need a licence to spray weedkiller so I feel happy doing it this way.
I'm always in the poo, it's just the depth that varies
