i have a 17ft xtel with an oval vikan i am in some seriouse need for some hose for monday as i will not reach the work i will be doing on monday, i need to go out and buy it oppose to internet or phone order, can i use any hose e.g. some thin clear plastic hose from b & Q... or does it have to be the minibore or microbore that it comes with because i have tried looking all over the internet for somewhere close to home i can go and pick some up from...

Just but a hose reel from B&Q and do it that way 25m of the hoselock stuff will do the job if you need something for monday

i'd rather it last longer than a day because i dont know when i would get round to ordering some, i remember reading a post where somebody said the best pole hose you can get is 5mm hose from b&q anybody else remember reading this?

No the Hoselock stuff I am talking about is standard garden hose. It will be fine for the job and not to expensive (you need to get the non kinking stuff. Get one with a reel and it will work fine. Really you've left it a bit late to go and find mini/microbore. This stuff is available off the shelf right now and is cheaper. Why spend loads on hose that you are hardly going to use (Although once you get one you will realise how much easier it is to use one)

I will reply on this one because you need to do something fast.

I saw the post about the B & Q thin hose. It was as a replacement for the normal pole hose and it got good reviews.

Probably the best thing for you to do is to do what WCE says. B & Q do a very good 30 meter anti-kink hose on a reel for £29.99.

If you are on normal H/lok type connectors you will need to get 2 x spare female H/lok connectors and a double male adaptor. Cut the first few feet off the hose on the reel. Put a H/lok connector on each end. Use the double male adaptor to connect one end of the spare length of hose to your trolley oulet and then plug the other end into the inlet on the hose reel. It is half inch hose but it very handleable at 30 meters or so. You will probably use it a lot. Its got very good anti kink properties and is very hard wearing.

Has your pole got no hose? Or are you looking for hosereel with hose that will allow you to leave the trolley in 1 place and work away from it?

no its already got a hose but i thought maybe i could replace it all but maybe not until i have the proper hose

if your using a trolley what won't you be able to reach? The worst thing will be that you will have to move the trolley every couple of windows or so.
It is a good idea to get longer pole hose though, so you won't have to do this.

I think that they can get hold of triclofex but as far as I know they dont stock it.

Anyway tricoflex as far as I am aware (I've never used or sold it) is the same diameter as the B&Q stuff. I've used the B & Q many times with no probs.

Don't buy a great long length of replacement pole hose like WCE says..  it's a nightmare

Honestly I would get down to B & Q.. ohh and by the way make sure you get H/Lok STOP connectors and don't forget the double male adaptor.
