Does anyone actually know what the maximum load is for this in watts? There is nothing about it on the web page. Chances are though that it won't be able to provide enough power to run a heater and if it can you will flatten the battery very quickly.

I would think you could adapt it to run of a leisure battery

and the benefit of that would be? Trust me a 3kw electric heater is beyond the scope of these things and you would end up with the same problem- the battery would drain in no time.

Residual Current Device (RCD) (doubles as a fuse box for extra safety) this is were most of the £50 going on this device.

As for running a hair drier, TV or kettle, I expect you will just about get your head warm,.......warm the water enough to wash your hands in but the TV would last through an evening or two viewing.

Although they are ideal for your pc and all other small draining electrical devices ipods radios etc.

They say they can be used on kettles, hair driers and TV's all these are power hungry, now it probably would boil a kettle as its a converter into mains A/C, it would probably dry your hair, but that's all you'll get out of one fully charged battery.

They make it sound like you can run these items for as long as you like. Just a little selling technique they have.

i think this is for mains hook up on a camp site ...... a 240 volt supply .

they do not hook up to a 12volt supply .

its just a a safe way to connect to the paided for hook up on site .

I think you might be right! Is all this is a posh RCD unit that you can take camping to ensure that you don't burn the tent down? After looking at it again I think it could well be. Well spotted!
