Afternoon nap ?
« on: June 03, 2008, 03:44:55 pm »
I have recently started having an hour or so nap in the afternoon !  I have lost a stone in weight recently in the last two months ( with diet and gym ) , and have found that the throw back to this , I get up early in the morning , so am tired in afternoon !   Anyhow feel a lot better for doing it , just wondered if you guys had tried it ?      I have also started to admire the cardigans in the greenwoods shop windows !!!!    :-\

Are you thinking about taking up pipe smoking too and started wearing a vest, oh dear!!
Must admit loads of times when I've been moving the car I've thought "I'll just have mesel 5 mins sit", 5 more mins 2 more mins, I could easily fall  asleep but would feel totally cack when I woke up again, the more I sit the less I feel like starting again ;)

The boffins say(according to radio 1) that an, think it was, 8 minute nap in the afternoon is very good for you. But must not be more than 8 minutes?

Yes...yes...yes...oh God yes to the afternoon nap.

But it mustn't be too long mind.  A nice little 20 minute power nap does wonders...40 minutes and I can't get going again.

It's not bad..my missus uses it!

But to get the thread back on track.  Yes an afternoon nap is a good thing. One thing I have learned is that in this game one needs to pace oneself. It's all very well for the youngsters to hammer around 30 houses a day but I can't do it any more and when I do over-stretch myself I get home absolutely knackered and just want to shower, eat, watch TV and an early night.

Afternoon nap......you must be joking. Mornings Im slow to start, but afternoons I'm flying around and not even a cuppa will slow me down :)

I have had to pull over before now when I'm driving home, 10 mins and I'm fine.
Instead of eating all your butties in one go, just have the odd one through the day. This should stop you feeling tired after lunch. I often have a nap when I get home, but then I don't go to bed till after midnight and I'm up at 6.15.
