Heatshrink

Everyones talking about heatshrink but do they just want it on the bottom section or on each section?
Doesn't this get in the way of the clamps, or is it a good idea for when the pole wears and this can take up the slack.?

the heatshrink is for the bottom base only, it acts as a saftey barrier against electrical shock, the other benefits are its non slip grip and warm in winter for the hands, and also gives your pole a professional look,
