After I emailed you I was disapointed with your response.

You buy a heater, a rinnai 54e £300 from southampton calor. You site it fairly high with nothing combustible behind.

From the pump a cold feed ending in a hoselock goes in. Hot water comes out, again with a hoselock connection, and this goes to the reel.

In other words the hose that normaly goes to the reel you interupt and stick a heater in the middle.

For a bloke that's smart on lots of issues, you are some plank.

i would DIY if i were you matey, its not that difficult, no more than wfp setup. Take a look at the thread by nathaniel who done a gas one, he seems to have it about right.

What are you a budhist ?

There are no technical issues. I sent him a photo, he asked if i'd got a diagram.

I'm on the wrong comp, but a hose goes in to the heater and a hose comes out. Thats it.

After the heater, split the hose and put a tap in, so if you open it you can send water back to the tank.

You do not need a hole in the roof, but this will mean you will need to keep the door  open.

Flippin heck ronnie  :o :o

ARE YOU A PLANK ?

discount window cleaning you must have more knowledge about everyone & everything to be so cocksure as to call ronnie a plank.

Please inform numpty's like me and ronnie

1, How many pints of milk does a cow produce in a 6 & 12 month period ?

2, When the wind is blowing at 60m ph in a easterly direction, but rain is coming in a different direction, which way would the leaves on the trees blow ?

3, how many lightbulbs are there in the whole of london ?

If you do not know the answer to any of the above question's discount window cleaning man ,

then you are a COMPLETE PLANK pal  :P

The way I do it involves purifieing the water before it goes onto the van. So there is no DI on the van. I transfer my water from an IBC onto the van at zero tds.

The water sits in the tank in the van. An outlet at the bottom of this has half inch hose and an inline filter(£6 from cleantech) that leads to a pumpbox and varistream that has hoselock connections.

The water exits the pump again via a half inch hose and a hoselock connection, this is the cold feed and goes via a hoselock connection to the heater. Exiting the heater via a hoslock connection is hot water this goes to the reel.

Again notice that on my setup there is no DI. A diagram would be.

Tank----------------Pump-------------Heater---------------reel/ back to tank.

The hose after the heater is half inch, and the connections are hoselock, and you could use ordinary hose but i have found that it bursts so I use car heater hose. Others reading this may have a better suggestion, but that works fine for me. This hose splits with one end going to the reel, the other back to the tank. There is a tap that controls the back to the tank part. You can do it without a feed going back to the tank, but trust me this is better.

You'll notice that there are a couple of differences in my system and Nathaneal's.
Mainly.
Nathaneal's heater is electronic ignition- Mine has a pilot light (triggered by a battery)
Nathaneal has a flue and a hole in his roof- I do not
Nathaneal has flame resistant material behind his heater- Mine has nothing behind it (a void) and is mounted off metal stays.

Other issues? Mostly all good but you can (and probably will) break windows, so be carefull.

Ref your fitting of the split relay it's a good job you live on a hill then and can get a bump start in the mornings

Some people are really clever on some subjects but total planks on others. Myself included. Anything to do with engineering is easy, computers.... now that's a foreign language to me. Diagrams and laymans notes helps idiots who have embarrased themselves by asking but are brave enough to ask, otherwise they'd never learn these difficult things holding them back. :)

I paid £200 for an auto electrician to fit my split relay. But i find there are time issues, and i can't master everything. I would much sooner that someone  else had figured out the hot first and saved me the bother.

I've never been afraid to look stupid and agree my small areas of interest are very narrow.

No one on this forum ever follows my advice anyway, but i like to pretend I have a receptive audience.

My most striking ideas have been in marketing, but these have elicited the least interest. My main business idea is that machines should do all the work- computer (george) to manage the round and allocate work, systems to avoid collection, marketing that forces the customers to come to me,hot system for ease of use, electric reel the same,

My websites still quite poor, but it's finding time for everything .

I've got a split relay knocking about somewhere, cost me eleven pounds i think from Maplins, so £189 to wire it up sounds a bit pricey.  ???
