Another trolley question
« on: June 02, 2008, 08:21:35 pm »
Thanks for all your help so far with my venture into wfp. At the moment my trolley has a hose coming out of the pump then a hose connector to another hose that leads to my hose reel. Had problems today with the hoselocks (Leaking) and was wondering if i need this extra join or can i just connect my pump to the hose reel.

Ive read threads complaining about plastic hoselocks, what are the alternatives and how much more are they.

i suppose you can connect it straight to the hose reel, but if the reel spins round when extending or pulling in then you would need a connection that swivelled.
I still use the hozelock on mine. It drips but when there is an air block it is very easy to disconnect the hozelock and suck to clear. So i tolerate the drips.

The suck side tube should be direct with no joints if [possible which can let air in and cause problems.

how would we do that jeff?
The only thing i can think of is to have a permanemt connection to a pole or to use ez snap fittings.
Is there a better way?

Change to either John Guest fittings or just plain jubilee clips,it makes me laugh when i look at an ionic system all those bells and whistles, and all those hoselock connectors. ;D ;D

The suck side is complete. Its from the pump to the hose reel that has a joint. When i use the reel it dosent effect to hose connector.

birdy if you get air in the hose again turn off the system lay your pole flat on the floor and restart the machine as the pole is below the pump gravity will take over  ;)
