customer reminders
« on: June 02, 2008, 02:01:33 pm »
I have just updated my customer database to a new easier package and was wondering if i should send out the reminder as a letter or a postcard? Any advice on what works better?? To be perfectly honest im really badly dyslexic and have put off sending out reminder letters for years due to not knowing what to write , its stupid i know. Having just spent the last month adding and copying over all my customers over the last 5 years my database is now 5000 and growing. Dose reminder letters work and should i keep it simple. Any advice would be great and really helpful. Thanks guys

Why not telephone them instead?

I have found that some customers receive so many cold calls during the day that my call sometimes gets a bad reception and after asking my customers while im in the house working, most have said they would rather receive a reminder than a phone call

post cards or letters are good,if post cards enlarge your buss card with a small offer to tempt them,on letters you can do i miss you letter, but if you have 5000 do not send out at the same time split into 5 lots over afew weeks

Fair enough.

And it just goes to show that what works for one person won't necessarily work for another.

I find it works for me; not all the time, but providing I've set the idea up correctly in the first place I have a very good conversion rate. Or at least more than enough to make me think it's worthwhile pursuing. (I mainly do my calls between 5.00 and 7.00 pm)
