RO Membrane / Filter Re-Constituting
« on: June 01, 2008, 06:53:07 pm »
Just wondered what actually happens when RO membranes and the
Post and pre filters etc.stop working effectively and the need comes
For them to be replaced. Is it possible and viable for them to be cleaned
Or re-constituted in some way to use them over again ? If so,has anyone
Done,or tried it? Am I correct in saying that once the membranes and filters
Are `spent`or used etc. that’s it,it`s replacement time? I would imagine all
The `nasty`s`mainly chlorine, limescale, etc.especially in hard water areas
Do irreparable damage?

Thanks for comments and advice on this subject.
