I have been on this site for several months now , but the mods dont listen to a word on here !   I  was married to the most beutiful woman in the world in 1992 . When my son was born I thanked God for the gift to me of a son ( jet black hair and big brown eyes )  I Have got a load on my back ( bi polar ) But I struggled along , as we do  ;D To cut a long story short , I am now single but my son Josh has got in to collage , and he has a day spare . And guess what ? . . . . he wants to work a day with me  ;D  I went to local wc shop and got him all the gear , and I am looking forward to giving him a few quid , and I am so happy .

Nice one Jonah, I wish you and your son all the luck in the world.

I know what you mean though, I was ready to just give up my business and give it away, until I told my daughters and as all three of them are good trad cleaners, I never thought one of them would want to take my business off me and do wfp.
How wrong was I, My eldest girl has now been trained for the past 6 weeks to wfp, and she loves it, in her spare time she comes down and  sits with me and the boss while we teach her the admin side of things and during the day she's out with me.

I pay her a good wage but can't wait until September when she takes over completely and she will have all the money and that's a great feeling for me.

Brilliant Jonah!  :)

I took one of mine out with me a few months ago. He is only 12, but he had a day off from school and rather than take a day off he came along and wiped the sills.  ;D

He asked lots of questions and seemed enthusiastic, but he says he wants to be an electrician.  8)

I hope it all goes well for you.

Thanks mate , he is going on machanics course , but I am going to show him the tricks of the shiner profession , and he has a second string to his bow  ;D
Well done m8,

The second string in his bow is a very good one, and having a mechanic is a bonus  ;D

Yep, if he has more than one trade he can follow then he has options. I reckon this is overlooked by too many. Good on him!  :)

That sounds great Jonah,.. you're spending quality time AND giving him a skill which may well prove useful in the future. You'll enjoy every minute of it I bet! Well done mate!

Yes quite life affirming Jonah.

The idiotic thing about happiness is that you are never aware of it at the time. You look back and recognise it and realise you didn't value it at the time.

nice one jonah

my son also worked with me ,from the age of 12

it gave him an insight on how to deal with people, money etc  :D  :D

he is now training to be an optician, he did not want to go into the cleaning industry ,

which is a shame ,but i enjoyed every minute he was with me,he is now almost 20

Ditto.

I am not a spiritual person, but I have to say that some things from the bible just make sense.

and even though the writings in the bible have been there for thousands of years, they made sense when they were written and still make sense today even though our world now is far removed from the world that was back then......it hasn,t outdated.

:-\ Hi, Jonah what do you mean by... but the mods dont listen to a word on here ?
I don't understand the significance!  :-\

Sometimes a thread may go off in a different direction, surely this is what mods are for to bring them back on course and disallow swearing (among other things no doubt!)  ::)

I can empathize with your situation and assure you of my understanding, after all... these are difficult times hard to deal with  :)
