Hi Guys
Been asked to quote for office chairs, approx. 100 +. Done similar before at £5.00 per chair but whilst cleaning carpets. Reckon £4.50 but still seems low.

Don't quote "To clean office chairs £XXX.00" as there are often extra appear from nowhere. Add E&OE at the bottom of the quote and state "To clean 107 chairs £143/12/6d"
You can then add on, or subtract, to allow for discrencies in the numbers.
A colleague recently cleaned about 40 chairs extra which he couldn't charge for because of the way the the tender and his quote was worded
Safe and happy cleaning

Gary,
I had to do approx 400 for an office supply co near me. Well it started out at that but the results were so hit and miss on them that it was cut down to about 100 in the end.
Most of them are covered in polyprop/nylon mix and are usually very dusty so make sure you vac really well, dont forget that some will have loads of coffee etc on them and you will have to do arms and wheel covers (use a car bumper type wipe for those).
Some of the exec chairs had hair oil on the top of the back so I sprayed Prochem solvent clean, left it over lunch and the grease had all turned to a greasy black mess and wouldnt clean off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Told them that you can never tell what has been done to them before (phew) and got away with it.
They can be fiddly because they allways roll around, I usually get someone to help me ie, vac and spray and them I extract off, results as I said can be hit and miss.
Good luck

Hi Gary,
£4.50 per chair sound ok however, if you are going to spend 10 minutes per chair then i would increase the price to £10.00 per chair. Why would it take anyone 10 minutes to clean 1 office chair? I have cleaned many office chairs in quantities ranging from 1 to about 600. The problem with them is the fabric. Most are covered with the type of fabric that will last a long time but is crap for cleaning.
Richie.

Thanks for that good info.
I,ll look into plastic, but, from what i,ve seen doing windos most are,nt bad.
10mins is a reassonable start , hopefully, they,ll be a lot quicker. You can get new for £40+ & half decent.
Thanks again

Hi Gary,
Sorry about my post. I was been sarcastic when saying charge £10.00. 10 mins you should get 2 - 3 chairs cleaned.
