What 45ft Pole?
« on: May 28, 2008, 02:57:16 pm »
Ok's..

I'm looking into getting a 45ft ish pole.

I won't be using it all the time but have about 5 to 6 jobs a month that need around that length.

At the moment I'm using a 35ft Glass Fibre pole, but at full extension the flex, weight and lack of control is not very much fun to use, and I'm sure the sight of me fighting with it doesn't look to good ether.

So's, what shall I go for.

Collapsible, or Modular carbon fibre.

The Gardiners super light looks tempting, but I'm not to sure about the set up time - as most of my work will be for one or two windows per clean.

So, if its to be collapsible - which one?

There's a lot of choice out there.

There's a Brodex on ebay that looks OK too.

Any advice would  be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A modular would be the lightest & easiest to use at 45ft but if it's only for the odd windows at that height i would have a look at the 44ft carbon facelift. It has removable sections so you can take sections off & still have a telescopic pole at ant length you like. I have the 44ft one but (untill getting the sl-x) i only have 4 sections on 99% of the time (24ft).
If you buy a pole without removable sections you are stuck with using the WHOLE pole at any height. ;)

Got a 35ft superlite.

And it's superlight, durable, extremely rigid.

Nuff said.
