i was just wondering did anybody else leave quite a few spots on there first cleans, i've done second cleans now and there 100 times better (not perfect) but acceptable.... did anybody elses first clean leave spots?

Yes mate i had the same problems when first starting out, from my experience i found after the 2nd-3rd clean the problem had gone and has never come back I did inform my customers in the first place that this could happen. Just give them a bit of an extra rince and i think you will find they will soon go.

i am actually gonna be on a third clean next week and thinking they will be pretty much spotless, but was your first clean quite terrible? i thought i done a really good job but when i went for an inspection some were really bad...

After my first clean some where pretty bad no matter how much they where rinsed mainly because i only used washing up liquid when doing trad and i was also  including the frames (this was to make up for the spotting that some customers would have to put up with) it was just getting rid of all the soap film and some where bad because of the type of glass. I'm sure you will see a big difference next time round.

I think its a combination of things. Residue etc and also the inexperience of the new WFP user. It takes a little time to get comfortable with the pole and be able to brush and rinse very accurately.

When I made the change about 3 years ago it took until the 3rd clean to get really good results every time. Some windows will never come up perfect with WFP and some shouldn't even be done with WFP. It takes a little knowledge and experience to be really proficient and be able to walk away knowing that there will be no spotting at all.

You sell wfp systems now that does shock me.

But have to agree with all you say in your rely.
another good tip on upvc is to scrub hard and rinse very well more attention to the frame than the glass, rinse frame first before you start on the glass, clean the glass and rinse top frame again clean glass again then rinse glass only not touching top frame only glass up to seals or is that sills what ever you will understand.

If you use a soft brush it will take a lot longer for the windows to come good and to remove soap residue,a soft brush is ok to use after the initial process has been carried out.By using a soft brush from first cleans onwards it will take ages to remove it and in most cases you won`t know you havn`t removed it until you use a stiffer brush,when you use a stiffer mono brush you`ll see the old detergent starting to milk up even if you`ve cleaned them lots of times with a soft brush.

But with the normal "un-flocked" No 

I do all the frame and glass, leave it go to the next,

do that one then go back and re=wash and rinse the first one...No spotting!

I've been doing my third house that I did with wfp yesterday like that. They came up perfect, I could see it, because I did the inside as well.

I'm planning to only use that for first cleans though. I'm a wfp noob, but so far it has worked well for me.

when i did my first wfp clean it was so bad i had to go and clean them allover again and that was over 3 years ago no problems since

they get betta with time but like has been said alot are never perfect the odd spot.

some say they get them all perfect but iv been doing 3 years and that is near impossible, most small spots that are left after first clean are very late and cant really been from inside.

mono dont ework for me they dont splay well 1st floor and upwards, and if you clean all the frames first do the next house and then do glass it takes far to long, is this a first clean process?

whats the difference between a flocked brush and non flocked brush?

Flocked brush has the fluffy squashed tips to the bristles. Mono has just straight bristles.
