Did a large conservatory today - very high and very awkward. She wants the insides done and the only way i can see to do it would be from a pole with applicator and squeegee. Some odd angles to do, any tips would be welcome.

Why not invest in a set of 5 metre step ladders or a pair of 4 way ladders from B & Q - £60.00 - these both have a really good working height and you dont need to lean against anything

I did something similar the other week I just ended up using a pole and squeegee although i would say try and do it at the coolest time of day I did it when it was pretty warm and sunny and the water was nearly drying before i could squeegee it off leaving little smear marks that i had to try and get off.

I would say do not clean it in the sun or afternoon do it first thing in the morning as early as possible.

Some very tight angles there - could it be squeegeed? Could it be done with a pole if so what's the technique without leaving blade marks?

For the main bigger panels you can squeegee from top to bottom in 1 go but the problem i had and as i can tell from the picture is you can't really squeegee the last 6-8 inches from the bottom of each glass pane as the glass roof hangs over the sides a little further and it makes it really tight (hope that makes sence) i reckon you are going to need to get some large step ladders to make a good job of it, maybe hire some for the day.

I thought myself pretty good a trad poling. When i've done this though I have left marks because you are working on top of yourself. Also the black drips that come down are messy. So I end up doing it a couple of times to get a result.

I might think about m cleans 4 ways, but i wouldn't have room to carry them all the time.

ref what p1w1 says, do this then go across for the bottoms presuming you have ordinary steps.

I've got ordinary steps but the pic is deceptive - it's bloomin high! I don't want to buy any bigger ones and could just pass the job on rather than have the hassle. Did the outsides today and could just reach with the SLX at full extension to get to some parts, difficult to clean the back safely as it turns back towards the house. Beautiful place though with the biggest garden i've ever seen (and swimming pool of course).

use gg4/3 with pure cover anything below, your blade marks should not show if applicator is clean all the time

No way can you blade it. Too many angles and too confined. As you blade from the apex downwards you'll get half way down before the handle of your pole (and you) come up against the side of the cons.

It's tall steps and hands-on IMO.

I'd sooner have a root canal filling before taking that little rascal on.

I sort of do what ww says. have a couple of applicators, one of them brand new. so sort of clean it before you go for a clean finish (as ww says).
