G- Fit do you get a wet leg
« on: May 22, 2008, 12:16:22 pm »
I have recently purchased a G-Fit and have noticed a lot more water coming down the pole,

I was on a big job this morning and i am absolutely soaked down my right hand side, I have had to come home to change clothing.

Does this happen to anyone else ?

That's odd. That doesn't happen to me, do you angle the brush straight on the glass, or more pointing upwards?

The G-fit is a fixed angle

Too much lager Dave :o ;D

I've removed it from my SL-X and gone back to plastic angle, I don't like the G-fit much.  Hard though when you have to reach over stuff, I use an extra angle adapter and just keep it straight, it's by no means ideal though.

Stick a big elastic band around your pole until you get it sorted, the band should make the water drip off before getting to you.

Thanks, but that isnt the solution, should it happen in the first place ?

PJ

I only use the G- fit on high stuff, say 40ft to help get over window ledges, lower work I always use an angle adapter

Yea I know, but stepping back a bit might get the brush more horizontal on the window, so that water won't tend to run down the gooseneck.

Why do you not like it Pj?

The rubber band tip is fantastic, I really have to keep that in mind if I ever need it. :)
